So, the main topic of this anime is: Maternity and his consequences.
- Should i sacrifice my future, my career, my ambition, my youth to raise a child?
During all the anime, the author want to show us differents types of parents and how they deal with paternity/maternity, sometimes by cruel way;
some mothers sacrifice their career to their child, some prefer abandon her child for their career, some are completly trapped between their child and their relationship...
Conciliate work and family can seems easy, like Daikichi and most of viewers think at the start. But, the reality is clearly different, and the main character learn this at his expense.
It's the kind of anime all people who want to have a child should watch to understand the consequences and the duty which result of it.
And i think, if this anime exists and is successful, it's probably because these problematics talk to a lot of people, maybe especially the japanese society, which still has traditional values.
