THIS REVIEW CONTAINS COARSE LANGUAGE AND MAJOR SPOILERS

A good analogy for this series is likening it to tasting excrement: it's shocking and exciting at first but after a second taste the reality of this bland experience is the disgusting aftertaste. That is to say that you will like it at first but after becoming more adverse in anime and decide to watch it again you remember how much of a stupid emo child who thought a series that can be summed up as 'big bad evil corrupt government fights a band of rebels fighting despite the futility of it'.

I know this may sound like Starwars but Starwars has this incredible thing called character development and I'm glad that George decided not to use shock therapy to make emo idiots like the series unlike the creators of Akame ga Kill.

The title alone allows one to realise that the fandom of the show would be a screaming bloody pile of emo pre-teens. What could have been a brilliant Shakespearean tragedy became a bloody pile of characters I only felt bad about when they had a flashback.

By the end of the show, I felt nothing for I had been shocked so many times I had come to expect the characters inevitable doom. Go watch Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans instead for its creators knew what plot and character development is, not just murder everyone because the time constraints demand their deaths.
