the studio apparently had the bright idea of casting japanese voice actors as native, english speaking americans instead of native english speakers. the result is something that is hilatiously wierd and bad for most people in the western world, and somrthing that is probably unnoticable in the east. it kinda ruins a lot of scenes because the engrish is ruining the mood. if this was mostly a comedy anime, I probably would recommend the sub for the same reasons but for this story I just recommend the dub.
just look up beck engrish on google and click the link to youtube and it should be obvious. thus watching this anime dubbed is recommended unless you hate the idea of dubbing altogether for some odd reason
