You are probably wondering why such a low score? And why am I reviewing an anime that I dropped? Well that't the point. Rarely have i ever flat out dropped on anime. I have a general rule that I think is fair enough to follow. Give an anime 5 to 6 or so episodes to keep me interested enough to watch further. This anime started out funny enough and I felt interested. It was kinda funny seeing what it would really be like if you got transported to another world and you aren't that powerful. Though over the course of the next few episodes or so, (I'll be honest I just made my account but i dropped this anime back in 2016 so I apologize for not being able to remember the exact episode I dropped) I just felt worn down, I wasn't enjoying the humor, it actually has some of my least favorite type of humor, like the episode where Aqua got swallowed by a frog and when being brought back home the joke was they looked like they were R word and that's my least favorite type of humor, just misunderstandings that lead people to think you are a low down pervert and many other things, that's not the main humor of the show but it irritated me a lot. I don't like Aqua, she's annoying, I know that's the joke but the joke fails if the audience is also annoyed. I forgot the explosion girl's name so I'll just refer to her as EG (explosion girl). She was funny at first. I enjoyed there antics a bit,but some alarm in me was screaming this is her one gimmick and she's not actually gonna be fun or interesting for much longer. I also forgot the blonde girl and main character's name as well. But I think I'll start to shorten and get to the point. This anime feels like Lowest Common Denominator stuff that can't fail and seems like its gonna be fun and deep, but no you got the generic pervert wimp neet, you got the annoying one that people will somehow like because she's sexy enough to bang, the young energetic one with one quirk that will be driven into the dirt and the fetish girl. I felt more bad for the main character rather than laugh at his misfortune and was hoping he'd stay dead to finally find peace but Aqua is an asshole and ruined it. It was around that episode where I gave up because I just about had it with this unfunny anime. I understand why people like it, I just can't get behind it and hate how its popular. I don't mind if you like it though it's popularity annoys me and I get infuriated when I kept hearing its getting a movie. Then again SAO got like a few seasons and a movie IIRC, so it's not farfetched this did too. My friend who likes this anime told me it's supposed to be a parody. And that shows why I don't like it. It's a bad parody if I can't tell its a parody. I just thought it was a comedy adventure anime. This was long and disorganized and I am sorry for that. But I you will have to pay me to get me to even watch this again, and I need a buddy next to me to shave off the pain. I don't like Fate Zero but I can tell its a good anime, I don't like Konosuba and I can't even consider it a good anime. Just LCD trash that everyone loves.
