Story:
The story was very unique, i was well written and thought out. It wasn't cheesy or hoaxy, it was a wonderful story of survival. I have yet to see an anime with a similar story. Nothing can compare to this story. The story of Wolf's Rain just pulls you in, you can feel every emotion the characters are feel. Countless times I have cried watching this.
Art:
The animation is also very unique and well drawn and detailed. Again, you just can't compare the art of Wolf's Rain to any other. This anime has been known to have wonderful art. When the characters get wet they look wet, hot, cold, whatever, you can tell just by the art and color. The color gives off a emotion of its own, its dark and serious. Which this anime is, its very serious, if your looking for a comedy your in the wrong place. The fight scenes are absolutely amazing! (if your a younger viewer, they get really bloody) the art of the fight scenes just grab your attention and you have no idea what the turn out is going to be its not one of those things you can't just know the main guy is gonna come out on top.
Sound:
The voice cast for both English and Japanese is awesome! None of the characters have a stupid high pitched voice that gets you annoyed or wanting that character dead. All of the main characters sound like true men, who could kick your butt when and where they wanted.
Character:
I could probably talk about the characters forever. This is one of those rare animes that you just love all of the characters. I loved Kiba, Toboe, Higue, and Tsume all the same and yet they are all so different, like Toboe is the cute, naive younger kid, but Tsume is the hard core gangster, that could kick butt. The characters that really caught my attention was Kiba and Cheza. You as a watcher know there is a feeling there but you just don't know what. Is it a love thing or a older brother protecting the younger sister? you'll just have to decide for yourself. Villians. When it comes to the villians in this anime you end up feeling bad for them, because they all need a big hug. One of the villians gets better which is a good thing, and you really understand why he was a jerk in the frist place. (i wish i could go into detail but i don't want to spoil anything).
Enjoyment:
Now, I have already mentioned that this anime is very dark and serious. if your asking "Well, isn't there any comic relief?" Yes, Higue, is your man when it comes to comic relief, but even he gets very serious sometimes in this anime. Remember this anime is about survival and how the world is ending. Its not a comedy. Its not a lovey romantic or anything like that. It has a lot of action and blood. If your into action packed anime with a lot of fights and twists and turns in the story plot then you'll love this anime as i did. If your into something else like romance or comedy or demons, you have a lesser percent of enjoyment.
