Let’s talk about the one positive aspect of the show: the music. This is literally the only thing it did better than the manga. Everything pales in comparison.
The storyboard and framing or shots in general are lackluster. It loses the tension and mystique of the manga pages. One would think a fully animated and colored media is better but it’s not. The manga is superior in art direction, composition and framing.
I also didn’t like how they cut out all of the witty inner monologues and changed a certain character’s behavior. Totally ruined the clever cat and mouse feel of the series. Basically ruined the whole show for me.
I’ve never been more disappointed.
