I watched Kimi to, Nami ni Noretara expecting a lot, because its director is Masaaki Yuasa, the same person who directed incredible shows like Devilman Crybaby or The Tatami Galaxy, and what I got was nothing but an amazing emotional movie that never stops impressing. It is a rollercoaster of emotions that in the end almost left me with tears in my eyes. It is a beatiful, wholesome movie about how people can influence other people´s lives even if they do not realize that. It never gets melodramatic, it never gets boring. It is just what it is, and is not trying to be pretencious in any way. I am trying to keep this short to not give any spoilers away, so, if you somehow are interested in this movie and managed to find this review, I tell you: Go watch it. The eight I am giving this picture might seem a bit low, and this movie is not nearly as good as, for example, Tatami Galaxy, but it is still one of the best anime movies of 2019. Do not hesitate and go catch this wave, you will not regret it.
