For me, I watched this one first, and may I say~ I loved~it personally! After watching it, I really looked forward to the other versions of Fate. But they didn't really live up to my expectations, perhaps because I got used to the newly animated style and story-telling. Also, having to be introduced to new versions of the same characters was a bit of a drab at first.
However, other people who watched other ones first seem to like the one they watched first more. Maybe because we all have something to compare it to now.
But damn, do I must say! The writers are so so good at endings. All the endings with the ending fights in the series that I did watch were all really good!
TDLR: It depends widely on which Fate series you watch first. We all end up comparing I think, when they all have differently styled animations and storylines. So, just choose one to watch first! They're all worth it! Every one in the series has their own style!
