Astra Lost in Space was an enjoyable ride. The space adventure was fun and the plot was thrilling and mysterious. The journey through space and the different planets they visited were cool. I heard about there being good plot twists and I wasn't disappointed. Nearly every episode had some shocking moments and revelations, and made me excited to see the next.

The characters were also surprisingly nice as well. I didn't have my expectations too high but I enjoyed the cast of characters. By the end of episode 1 I was already locked into this group and this journey. They had a fun dynamic and each had a deeper story to unfold. I little cliche at times, but mostly hits the mark that makes you appreciate these characters and their varying personalities and motivations. This anime was like Breakfast Club meets Interstellar. The serious emotional moments for these characters were done fairly well. The backstories were somewhat bland but when they interact and are in danger in the journey I really felt it.

What impresses me most is how the story was able to connect each of its plot lines and actually delivered a story-line that made sense. The story is quite ambitious especially when it reveals some crazy twists. This seemed like it could easily go wrong, but personally, I thought everything was well explained.

Overall this is a solid anime that tells a cohesive story packed with some fun, adventure, emotions, and mystery.
