Qiuckly just want to say that I have watched all of the seassons of SAO and all the movies. And I enjoyed myself alot watching them.
1. Ive seen people complaining about how Kirito/ Kirigaya Kazuto is just too OP of a character. I understand that 100% he is overpowered as hell. But I myself really do enjoy really powerful characters. My most favorite scenes are where somebody doubts Kirito in his powers and then Kirito does something so powerful that everybody is standing there with shock and terror in there faces.
2. The show itself and how it was made was talked about alot.
The show feels rushed and I do agree. I wanted more time in the SAO game. (AKA the death game) 14 episodes of it wasnt enough. I really would have liked a full seasson about it and maybe a cliffhanger at the end would spice it up.
But the show is made from a manga (as far as I know) You can copy a book as much as you want but it will never turn out the same in a movie. They put everything they thought mattered into the first seasson and went with it.
3. Characters. Yeah Alot of complaints about this aswell. Alot of people say Asuna is a "faceless" character. Meaning she isnt really needed. But think of it. When you start dating its all this lovie dovie stuff and all cute an stuff. And later you settle down. Thats what I think SAO did. When Kirito and Asuna first fall in love its this really cute and heart warming moments Later its them mostly sitting around at Agils bar and doint noothing really. Thats just how it is really.
4. Talking about sounds and art I really have nothing to say. Art is at made top notch. Its nice too look at and it keeps you looking. Sounds follow whats going on the screen and the music during battles makes it tense.
Ima jump ALOT of seassons forward and just say a random thing. This spoils the Alicazation seasson so just skip through it.
Pretty much in the last battle with the pontifex I really got confused Sometimes you see Kirito charge in and Eugeo and the Alice stand there like....Well we will sit here and drink tea. Kirito gets hit they scream and keep standing Its really weird. They dont seem to be wroking as a team alot. I think that whole scene could have been better. Idk why it stuck with me but yeah.
Really nothing else I want to talk about. My review might be a bit badly put together but its my first one.
Just to wrap it up. I enjoyed the show. I really did. Sometimes I was looking at it with a What? face not understanding what the characters are doing. But the show is a fun watch. If you want a OP character as the main guy and pretty damn OP characters on as the side ones. In a Isekai kinda setting as they travel a lot of game worlds. Then you should give this a shot. You either like it or dont. Thats just how it is.
