The most important thing for any show, movie, cartoon, anime and hentai is the visuals. Many people seem to agree that the following pieces of entertainment I listed are defined as 50% Visuals and 50% Audio. And while I don't completely disagree of this from a legalistic standpoint, I do have to disagree from the standpoint of how we perceive information. Let me elaborate on my point, pick a episode any episode of anime and one time listen only to to the audio and then on the second viewing watch the episode with no audio. You will probably find that you were able to resonate with the visual component more because their is more opportunity to find subtle things about it than it is with audio. That is exactly why art and animation play such an important role in hentai. And with that over philosophical intro aside... lets' get into today's review of: 'Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro'.

Story: 7/10.
The story in Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro is actually quite multi-layered. It is very much a character focused story rather than a plot one. Episode 1 is really strong in terms of story development. It really focuses on selling Asa and Hajime's romance and proving much-needed context for the world, while also having incredible pacing sprinkling through out. I feel the only thing that really brings down the story is Natsume, well she is cute she ultimately serves no purpose besides making this a mini-harem, and she does not have time to have a well-developed arc like Asa and rather just serves as her rival. And because of this I do feel the story-telling aspect takes a dip in the second episode.

Art and Animation: 10/10.
I made a whole fucking introduction based on the importance of Visuals... that being said... does Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro have good visuals? FUCKING... YES. It's a shame that the studio 'Nihikime no Dozeu' did not make too many hentai's. But nonetheless this hentai's art is superb especially for being as old as it is. The art is something that has aged particular well. And the animation is top-notch. Every scene feels like it has so much fluidity behind it. And the choreography is some of the best I have seen in all of hentai.

Sound: 9/10.
The sound is pretty good too. All the VAs get the job done properly and the bg music is fairly good too.

Character: 7/10.
Again this section would be close to a 10 if it were not for Natsume. Asa was a 10/10 character for me in the first episode. She had a fucking amazing design and the way they protrude he tsundere aspects felt wayyyy more realistic. But Episode 2 does bring down her character for me since she loses some of the devolpment she had in the first episode.

Enjoyment: 8/10.
Overall I really enjoyed Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro. There was so much fucking eyecandy I thought I would die before finishing. The only downside is the story and characters in terms of the contextual point of view.

Overall: 8/10.
Overall, Sora no Iro, Mizu no Iro was great. If you just was a hentai with superb art and animation I can not recommend this enough. And even if you are hard boiled hentai reviewer like myself, there is still much enjoyment to be had with this series!
