Summary: If there is such a thing that it's so bad, it's good. Then this is so generic that, that it's good.
Black Clover seems to check off everything that you would expect in a big-name shonen story: optimistic protagonist with big dreams, cool/edgy rival, several oblivious love-interests, over-powered villains that somehow gets defeated, and enemies becoming friends. However the execution of the stories is predictable for even someone new to anime. The quality in the characters can range from average to lacking.
So you maybe wondering, if it's so generic how can it be good?
The answer is simple. It's more enjoyable to binge through. And like most shows that still in the public eye, it has certain moments that are interesting enough or so laughable bad that you can't help but continue watching.
