If you liked full metal alchemist, may I introduce full metal alchemist: brotherhood. Both shows have almost all the same characters, concepts and settings. However the two couldn't feel more different. Brotherhood from what I have heard follows the manga closer then its brother show. This is good and bad, full metal (the short one) felt slower but had some very interesting things that made it great such as its omnipotence of The Gate, where as in brotherhood they gave it a face which I'm not sure if i liked. Brotherhood definitely has more action and better choreographed fights. The real issue is that while most of the show differentiates itself from its counterpart they rush through the beginning as if they had expected you to watch the other one first but still makes you sit through a bunch a sh%t you already know. "Yeah, I'm my own thing!... but you have to watch the other one if you want a good beginning..."
