Preliminary (24/52 eps)
The first time I watched Unihabited Planet Survival or in the shortened name Survival Planet the first impression I got is that this series is like a Japanese anime version of the tv american series "Lost", because the sci-fi, the survival and adventure elements and most of that in a survival show the most developing thing is the character development, and just like Lost Planet Survival is just like the same in that - a large amount of episodes and time is invested in the developing and change of the characters and the relationship between them.
But once I rewatched this series couple of times, the main idea of the series had developed in my mind that this series is just more than what is seen - the main background of the series is somewhere in some future of the human kind that banished from it's own planet due to their actions that caused Earth not be used and instead to solve that problem the human kind uses the technologies that can help Earth to make the uninhabited strange planets to be the continuation of the main kind, and in the middle of all that, our group of characters that every one of them have an issue problem in theyr character, maybe besides the main character Luna, finding themselves in a desert planet that has the same nature that Earth had, finding themselves struggling to continue to live, things like watching the sunlight or sunrise is strange to them because they have never saw a real one, make you the watcher to appreciate this planet, and that is message from all of this introduction of this review, because unlike the american Lost this anime have its own issues and maybe even better in some of the aspects.

Story - 9
Really, like I started to say, the story from it'self isn't really that much of a thing, a group of kids that found themselves struggling on their lives in a planet that unknown of any kind of it's creatures and stuff, although the second part of the series have it's own plot, the main plot for the whole series is keeping about survival and how to get out, the real developing in this series like I said is the character developing.

Art - 7
The art could be somewhere better, in the first eps the a lot of mistakes in the art like exaggerate lines and borders but how it keeps going the art is getting better more and more, but still the style of the art not a masterpiece in itself.
The backgrounds, however, is really realistic and give a good atmosphere to the anime.

Sound - 7
The part of the sound is kinda hard to judge because the OST of itself feel kinda old and corny from time to time, and sometimes there's a feeling of overused music in some parts but overall the music is nice and smoothy.

Character - 9
Now that's the main part of this anime because of from how I came earlier the main part in survival series is the characters developments, due to the lack of eventful in some episodes even in crucial parts like finding a new shelter and stuff the anime presents to you in those the deep and the past of the character to explain his character of his own and the solution of his character issue causing them to change their actions in the advanced episodes.

Enjoyment - 9
Don't know why, maybe because of the survival format or the character developments in the series, but I really enjoyed every episode of the anime, the pace, the dialogs and the creation of the relationship of the characters, all of that just attract me to watch more and more episodes, although who can't stand an entire anime without some action scenes, who loves a slow pace anime and good characters, some you may hate and some you may love for me it's a good anime to watch and spend the time.

Overall - 8
Although there are some annoying things in the art and the sound like I mentioned but overall for me this anime is one of the first anime series that brought me to watch more and more animes, mainly because the smooth dialogs, the good humor and the developing of the events slowly and safe rather than not losing it's good point, and since I really liked this anime and rewatched this anime couple of times, I really recommend you this basic beautiful anime.
