Preliminary (10/18 chp)
Always on the look for good Josei, i stumbled on this one.

Story: The setting is a typical one for the romance genre, a student in love with the teacher. This time, its the school nurse and a student from an all boys school. Even though the setting is cliche, and the kind of relationship this is going to portray is risqé, one might still want to give it a chance. The story itself though is very predictable as it goes in the romance genre. Its literally as predictable as they come. No surprises there. At all.

Art: This is what caught my attention at first. I have certain styles i prefer, and this one has really nice art. The only weird thing there is, is the height difference in characters, it seems rather off.

Characters: So. Now to my main issue. The main heroine. Its really hard to not just rant about how badly she is written. I know generally (or a vast majority of) women tend to be depicted as weak and overly emotional and unbalanced across all sorts of genres. But this one is one of the worst i have had in a long time. The main heroine is supposed to be an adult, in her early twenties. Sure at this age you still havent figured life out. But at least you should have a better grasp on your own feelings and more introspective on your own perceptions and yourself. better than the heroine who is outright on the maturity level of a potato. In most scenes the main hero has to decipher her tumultous feelings and misconceptions about every situation. its so unnerving. hes supposed to be the younger one. His character at least gives the story some credibility and he seems rather authentic for his age. It is really impossible to believe the supposed "adult" is actually one when all her behaviour is even worse than a middle school girls. But i gave the benefit of the doubt, hoping there would be some character development, but alas! there is none.

Enjoyment: the only thing one can enjoy is the rather cute although overbearing and borderin gon harassment (as it is again, common in the genre) of the main hero. Maybe the art keeps you reading for some more chapters. But thats about it. The heroine who is supposed to be the connection between the reader and the story told is all but doing this. its a pain to read and useless to hope for serious development.

Overall : so should you read this? If you like decent art and can deal with badly written, weak , clicheed stereotypes and flat predictable storys, then by all means do!
If you like enticing stories with characters that evolve and learn, with some independant qualities and flaws , then save yourself the time and skip this.
