I'm just going to make this short as I can to get my point across. This came from an amazing visual novel and it was great from start to finish, though the problem is this adaptation. First lets talk about how this show was not nearly as long as it should have been. The trials alone took around 2 and a half to around 3 hours in the visual novel, yet in the anime here their impact, emotions, and stress the characters felt, all were almost nonexistent in this adaptation. While the story was roughly the same the characters did not get development at all pretty much as well as many other things were cut out as well. This should have been at least 26 to around 40 eps at least. The visual novel is great and definitely worth reading before this. I definitely would recommend that before this adaptation and if you still wanted to watch an anime version after then I would rec to watch this but only like that, otherwise this show just ruins the entire visual novels plot and cases. So in conclusion this should only be watched if you have completed the visual novel.
