This anime since ep.1 shows you that reality is tough and cruel and if you don't kill your enemies because you want to forgive them (Batman alike) you won't live another day to see your family and loved ones.
I was getting absolutely annoyed and frustrated by the politically correct cartoons for kids where the evil enemy is always always alwasy forgiven, where the main charachters or heroes never die or if they die they somehow always come back to life (because they are kids cartoons) and since after Berserk (1997 ver.) I couldn't find anything non-retarded.
This is the closest thing to Berserk (1997ver), Ninja Scrool, Elfen lied or Fist of the north star.
If you hate kids cartoons, this is a MUST WATCH !
