These 26 episodes seemed to have more going on then the entire 167 episodes previously. Sure the Inu Yasha fillers were sometimes enjoyable for a little break from the action, but it's nice to see a series where something goes on each episode that is story changing. The story is basic. It is the same as InuYasha: Kill Naraku, complete jewel. Simple, right? In a way, I suppose. Knowing InuYasha, there are many plot turns that come along with the seemingly simple story. The sound brought me back six years when i first began watching this show. It was raw and what I was used to. I was glad to see Inu-sound keep true to itself.
The characters we all know well. We either love them, or we hate them or we really didn't touch base with an opinion on them. I can tell you one thing, my opinions of some of the characters changed throughout the show. People who I loathed, I began to love, and visa verse. The overall enjoyment of this anime was off the walls and filled with suspense. I can honestly say I cried more than once during this season for multiple reasons. There were downright sad parts, and then there were downright joyful parts that I couldn't help but cry in. If you followed this anime straight from the beginning, believe me you, it's a tearjerker in Kenketsu-hen.
but it also sticks to it's true nature of the fun, lovable moments that make you replay the moment because it was so fresh.

Final note: If you watched InuYasha straight from the beginning and was very disappointed by the ending of the 'InuYasha' series, Kenketsu-hen will get you right back on the bandwagon.

Believe me, it's the same as it was back then. Only better.
