After watching the original 2 seasons of Tokyo Ghoul I had high expectations of Tokyo Ghoul Re. My expectations were not only too high, but it was actually so bad I feel like I wasted my time even watching it. There is so much fighting (probably 10 of the 12 episodes were solid fighting), so little explanation, and absolutely terrible character development. The best part of this season was the Opening lol. If you had watched Tokyo Ghoul and Re side by side it's almost hard to believe they're made by the same people. The only reason I give it 5/10 and not 1/10 is because I'm hoping they connect things together better for season 2. I haven't read the manga but I can only imagine it's miles better from what I've heard.
