Story: The plot idea was something I have never seen before. It was so unique and thrilling, I had to give it a 9. Why not a 10, you ask? The answer is very simple and probably stupid to many Kuroshitsuji fans... I didn't know what genre Kuroshitsuji was supposed to be. It hinted shouen-ai, bishounen, comedy, something dark and ominous, it was all over the place for me. But that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy it; I usually prefer to have a good grip on the genres and such.
Art: Obviously a 10. Need I say more?
Sound: An 8, which is much lower than I think it should be, but what the hell. The voices were perfect and everything. I just felt like some of the voice actors were too "into" their roles, which somehow set me off. Other then that, it would be perfect all around for sound. Excuse the rhyme.
Character: This is a score I usually don't give out quite often; a 9. Every character had their own background, which fit in perfectly with the anime. I loved it and was extremely interested in their backgrounds; which is quite unusual for me. Again, not a 10 because their backgrounds seemed a bit far-fetched. But hey, that's Kuroshitsuji for ya'.
Enjoyment: A lower score than all the others, I'm afraid to say. I enjoyed every minute of Kuroshitsuji, don't get me wrong. But unfortunately, I felt bored at some moments, like they were just dragging on a scene. And even sometimes, the scenes went by too quickly for my own likings. And that is what made me score the enjoyment a 7.
Overall: An 8. Brilliant anime. Minor flaws led Kuroshitsuji to get a lower mark from me. But I'm sure a lot of the users of MAL would disagree and rank it a 10 or 9. I recommend Kuroshitsuji for someone who's looking for something different and out of the box. It's perfect for any genre of anime; especially those yaoi lovers, since the mangaka does sort of touch base with shounen-ai. You will not regret watching this anime, I assure you 100%.
