Gonna make this review quick and on to the point. Honestly, I didn't like almost half of the show. I just can't handle people who are too childish and makes other people embarrassed for their actions, one of it is Dekomori. She would be my most hated character of the whole series. The series is actually funny. And of course, KyotoAni gives me another good animation. The characters actions and fluidity makes the one episode funny and not being dry. KyotoAni always give a good slice of life anime! The character designs are so cute too. Goddamn. All girls in this series are so cute. Shit. Another thumbs up. The whole series has a vibe of Tamako Market, the animation is so smooth! The comedy scenes are well arranged, and the whole pacing is good as well. For the main characters Rikka and Yuuta. I ship them since the first few eps. Their relationship is so cute and perfect! Everything is so perfect for a normal relationship! I always waited for a love/romance part of the series in the first half. I'm dying just to see them step right up. And well, it happened. I didn't see that coming. I mean the moment when rikka nearly fell and yuuta came to rescue her. And then she hug her. Shiiiiittttt. THAT WAS I AM LOOKING FORRRRRRRRR. That was so goooood and cute. Shit. No words at all. I'm screaming when I watched that scene. It was so good and smooth. And no comedy inserted, all pure seriousness, romance and drama. I thought this series would end up being a sliceoflife/comedy just like Tamako Market & Nozaki-kun. But its really good that the story moves to a romance after all. Great job! So about the ending. Actually for me its kinda good but kinda shitty as well. I mean, I kinda love how Yuuta comes to save Rikka. And a new hug scene was inserted again (I screamed) which is actually good. Because I totally want more. HUG HER. KISS HER. HOLD HER HANDS YUUTA, YOU IDIOT. The whole club was there, which is nice. The past story about rikka's father, and where the little rikka saw yuuta's old self in 8th grade syndrome moment was so amazing. I didn't actually see that coming actually. Making it happens make their relationship or ship so strong. Fvccccckk. I want more to their love. But the ending was a little shit. I did not want rikka to be back again at her 8th grade syndrome, but definitely want the cute rikka to back soon. Her grandfather getting a gun, a policeman, chased by a police car in a bike, and yuuta at his dark flame master personality brokes the ending's vibe. Thus, makes the ending so shit. Just pure shit with that. Insert, I actually love the ending of ep. 11 when dekomori was hitted by a harsh reality. That was actually a good drama out there. Imagine a story that makes people laugh at few eps, then a dark past with a heavy drama appear on mid eps. Its actually a good, making the ending an episode looking forward to by the people who followed this series since first eps. The op was bad, but the animation was so cute. Well, all girls are so cute tbh, but senpai is the most cute among them all. Lol. Probably gonna hate this childish review (ironic) when I read this 20 years from now. Hahaha. Hi my future self. Now, getting back to the series. The ending kinda reminds me of toradora, the animation reminds me of Tamako market, and the whole series has this clannad vibes. Well all of this came from kyotoani, except for toradora. The first few eps are all about comedy scenes. The mid eps rises the romantic part, and preparing for the drama by having the glimpse of past. The ending hits you with a good blow for the heavy drama, hard hit of reality and a mind blowing romance, but a slight shitty ending. 😢 Overall, not bad. Gonna give this 7/10 at first thought. But the series gave me what I have been looking for, the romance. But didn't give the ending I want. So, an unbiased score of 9/10. KyotoAni always give the best sliceoflife/comedy/drama. Best character design (cuteness) compare to all studios. Thumbs up kyotoani for a nice series.
