Story 5/10:
The ambientation of the OVA is excellentely achieved, centering in the little details in the background, but unfortunately, this feels more like if it was there for making the OVA last longer and honestly it was boring. The conflict is preety simple and it was solved very fast. The exposition sometimes is ok, but other times it fails. For example, the explanation of the paranormal town is ok and involves Izumi deducing it, to be after revealed, but the scene were someone tells Izumi that her boyfriend and her mother died was based only in telling the viewer that that happened, instead of showing it. If all this wasn't enough to make this OVA boring, there isn't any of the comedy that characterizes Jojo as a whole.
Art: 8/10
The redesings of the older characters look strange, but in movement they look fine. The animation is preety static because of how the OVA is more centred in the dialogue than in the fights, but where it needs movement it makes it really good. The coloring iss as good as it was in the DIU anime.
Sound: 8/10
The music helps to the already good ambientation, by adding to the tension scenes (even if they're absurd situations). But it isn't that important.
Characters: 6/10
Rohan is most of the time only watching what happens instead of being n active protagonist, Izumi doesn't get enough characterization and she isn't even important in solving the conflict, Ikkyuu fails as an antagonist by not having motivations and, again, not having enogh characterization. The older characters like Koichi and Okuyasu have barely any dialogue and didn't ddo anything for the plot, ad others like Josuke and Akira Otoishi only appeared as background characters.
Enjoyment: 5/10
If you like to see excellently made backgrounds and a good direction this can be entertaining, if not, then you'll probably find it boring.
Overall: 5/10
The new characters fail by not having interesting personalities or motivation, the older ones do almost nothiing, the exposition fails sometimes and the conflict isn't interesting. It may have good visuals and good music, but overall it's worse than most DIU fights.
