I absolutely love this anime, from it's characters that are not overly complex, but are layered enough to be endearing, to the story .
I guess the answer to why it is so good is, that the friendship between these girls feel genuine, and it's that friendship that makes you feel good even when there are sad moments.
The animation is what you expect of Madhouse by now, they know what they're doing.
I only gave it an 8, because the first episode did not manage to draw me in at first and it was only because of recommendation that i picked this series back up.
