I also thought that Violet Evergarden could and would be one of the best shows that could be easily a 10, but I was wrong. After 7 episodes the only interesting part are the pieces of violets past and the whole rest is just boring. It is so boring that most of the episodes gave some kind of a filler feeling.
The whole concept of Violet becoming a "doll" doesn't make any sense why must she write letters to understand the concept of love but this is just a small point why Violet Evergarden is mediocre. All the side characters in each new episode that should give you some kind of interest or feeling are just plain and boring.
I still hope Violet Evergarden will be more interesting but till that the only good thing about this anime is the animation and this is just sad after so much hype I did expect much more.
Overall this is anime is until now just mediocre and doesn't deserve a rating over 8.

After reading the novel this adaptation doesn't deserve to be a 5 it is just bad. You can't call it an adaptation it is more like an original or filler story they changed everything. Characters, Plot and Story. The novel was awesome but this was a waste of time
