This show is such a fresh take on the era of anime we are at right now. It tackles some deep issues with our society today - without being too over the top or obtrusive. The visual style took me by surprise, nothing too over the top and not too boring that it wouldn't make an impression on you. The OST of this anime is probably one of my favorite aspects and I would find myself replaying scenes over and over again just for the sound and music.
The character development had a lot of care and effort put in to make them feel relatable and real. Throughout the story you find yourself cheering for the protagonist and then just as quickly, find yourself breaking down during such heartfelt scenes.
Overall a truly entertaining and different anime that really puts itself out there and does the original manga justice. This won't be something for everyone - especially if you can't stomach grotesque violence or explicit sex, but if you want to take a dive into the deep end, then I would highly recommend this.
