First of all, right after watching episode 1, I thought of dropping the series because I didn't find it funny. I only had small giggles here and there, and I had a lot of questions in mind about the series when I started watching it (i.e, "Why is it Hoshiiro Girldrop? I thought it was Pop Team Epic", "I don't think any kinda anime would work without a solid story", "Do these 4-panel comedy manga's even work as a successful anime?", etc. etc.)
Luckily, I caught up with this series up until the release of episode 2. I wanted to give the series a chance (actually, because of curiosity), and LOVED it. The reasons were mainly because of the memes, parodies, and over-all randomness. Because of that, I waited in hope for the future episodes with high expectations to only sink in despair. It wasn't what I thought it'd be like.
Despite my hype for the series dying down, it's still a pretty great anime. Would 10/10 recommend this to anyone who likes memes, Western pop culture, and just for the overall randomness.
(I'll probably write a more critical review once the series is finished, kinda depends if it's a negative or a positive one, though)
