ok so before jumping into the review itself I would like a moment to explain what a deep show is as I see nowadays a lot of people which are using the word incorrectly (in my opinion at least). people says that a deep show is a show that tries to convey ideas. that's correct, the thing is every show, even kids show, have it's own ideas and outlook in the world. so what's a deep show? a show that is to put it simply, philosophical. it can be a shounen with many ideas or a horror show with many ideas. what's more, a deep show. so what's a deep show? a show with an idea/s that are really important in the show structure itself, which means the show tries to convey these ideas as much as possible while remaining a show, which means it does so through the plot/writing/characters. another thing people like to do id to say deep show are good. being deep certainly means it's got more quality but that depends on how the show convey the ideas while remaining well built.
so is devilman crybaby is a deep show? more than your usual show at the current meta of anime, not as deep as most people will tell you. it's not the deepest show to come out in the last four months and not even in the top 5 (maybe not even in the top 10, but with so many good anime I tend to forget some shows).
so now that I ate your head let's get to the real business.

plot (4/10):
the plot wasn't good it had a few nice moments but nothing to talk about as I wont go into details. ill say the finale was bs, and the rest was ok minus, with a few good moments. the writing was lazy and there were things that were thrown into the show without a real reason (why would miko make pig noises while touching herself). the show replaced plot with plot ( a term means fan service and a lot that was unnecessary). overall, the writing was lazy and bad for the most part and far from a what this show needed. it also failed at conveying it's messages in a good way for the most part (ill admit there were some moments that turned out well but failed at making me think anything or take something unlike good shows that started last season and even in this one).

characters (2/10):
why 2?cause out of the whole stupid cast that was written poorly there were something like 2 characters that were fine (the best the show managed) while the rest were awful. if you want to know who I am talking about than it's ryo and one of the rappers. overall, bad characters that wasted my precious time.

art (8/10):
the art in the show is the second best thing about it. the animation is good as well. i dont think it was outstanding and it failed a few times that were really important but overall, it was good.

soundtracks (10/10):
something i think evryone will agree on is that the soundtracks are awsome. the va does a good job overall (not outstanding) and the rapping was just fresh, and fun and one of the better things in soundtracks.

overall (6/10):
ok so honestly i feel like a five is a better fit but just as i said, a deep show earns a bit of a bonus from me as i want to see more deep shows. do i recomend this anime? listen, honestly there are so many better shows to watch but if you want a reason to watch animated characters fuck each other than go for it (not that there is something wrong with that m friends). so i think that overall i wont recommend the show unless you want to watch some fucked up hentai (jk jk, but seriously there are muvh better shows). what i do recommend is to listen to the ost of the show as it's the best thing to vome out of it.
