Pupa's bad...but not horrible.
I was expecting full episodes that were at least 17+ mins. What I didn't expect was for the episodes to be only around 5 minutes. Eventually, I became happy about this. I was forcing myself to watch it.
The anime had me interested once I read the summary. But, I was actually surprised and a bit disappointed when I started the anime. The plot was somewhat confusing and everything just felt like a jumbled mess. Despite that, I was still able to understand a bit. This fact is what saved this anime.
The art's not bad and neither is the animation. The way the characters are suck though. Utsutsu is an ok character. I like how he goes to extreme lengths for his sister. Yume was ruined for me. That one scene when she kept saying "onii-san... onii-san..." instantly got on my nerves. At that point, I couldn't even say that I liked her. Nothing in the anime redeemed her. In my opinion, she wasn't even interesting. She can have a few sympathy points because of the situation she's in though...
Anyway, I hardly remember the other characters. That one woman was somewhat interesting but we didn't get to learn much about her. Also, I wish that we could've learned more about Utsutsu and Yume's parents. I guess this is what happens when you take a manga series and try to make everything fit into 5 minute episodes.
