Preliminary (9/24 eps)
I would gladly consider this a masterpiece of modern day anime and I will explain several reasons why I think this way.

1. It does not overemphasis on the characters. This creates a perfect balance where the audience can speculate on what is to come next and not been overwhelmed by the suspense.
2. The story is very well paced (arguable depending on the audience, but I find it perfect). It is slow enough to keep up with and fast enough to be interesting.
3. The art is marvelous.
4. The main characters do not follow the same meta of most animes. (Once again, arguable depending on the audience) The behavior of most modern anime characters can be determined within the first three episodes because they follow a particular meta. However, this anime brings something new to the table. The mysteriousness of the characters was able to keep me interested and at the same time not overwhelm me.
5. Well constructed world. The best way I can explain this is probably through the term 'realism'. (Once again, arguable depending on the audience)It does not focus on one particular aspect of the world (by world I don't mean just the physical world, I also mean the rules that governs it). The rules of the world are not elaborated which is why whenever something new shows up it feels natural. This allows for flexibility for how the story and character can develop.

That's all the reason I can come up with while writing this review. I highly recommend anyone to watch this anime.
