This is one of my first animes I've watched (excluding the ones that I watched being a kid), and it has a special place in my heart. This is one of the most worldwide known shounen and, in my opinion, the good parts of it are really amazing, but the bad ones are... well, awful. Let's see it in a pros and cons list:
CONS:
-The story has a lot of filler. Not only that, but also continuely breaking the main story, annoying you at every time when you have to see over and over from where the main story continues
-The main characters are not good. The show create good expectatives about them, just to finally discover that almost everyone are cliche characters
-The anime is inconclused, but the manga is, and it ends even worse than the anime.
-Bleach uses a lot of non-sense power ups, that make the show repetitive.
PROS:
-The universe of Bleach is simply fascinating: the world of the living, the shinigamis and the hollows, the hole of their souls, the zanpakutos, the bond between these and the shinigamis, the Soul Society, the Hueco Mundo, the Quincys...
-The two main groups of enemies are great. The Gotei 13 and the Espadas have a lot of interesting enemies.
-The soundtrack is amazing. Maybe is not as great as other shounen soundtracks like Naruto or Fairy Tail, but is really really varied and stunning.
-I think this is the most important, the first season is one of the best sagas that I've ever watched.
CONCLUSION: If you like the shounens, this is one of those that you cannot miss. I highly recommend the first season (63 episodes), but I have to admit that the rest is... well, in average just OK. I should like to close by saying that, as the youtuber "Lolweapon" says about this anime, "if you have a good eye taking of the filler, you can find more than 100 episodes that is an offence missing it"
