Music is Shinichiro Watanabe's (Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo) passion. Since he tested it fully in Mind Game, it's only natural this dual combination of boisterous & loud, warming & slightly vintage, trying to push & pull the audience as if in a tango.
It's a serious, raw & sensual story through which we follow the rites of passage of a girl taken away from abusive environment becoming an adventurous free woman, beautiful and fearless, whofaces society in the same brutal fashion as society deals with its citizens.
You'll find character growth, introspective moments, great lines & dark sense of humor, ethical issues and 9 years later, I can still remember all her impatient journey as well as the music.
