Preliminary (6/12 eps)
I never write reviews, but this is the worst anime I have ever seen and I believe that I should warn people not to watch it.

One of the problems it has is the fact that all of its characters are completely forgettable. I am on the 6th episode and lots of people have died. However, I could only tell you something about 2 or 3 of them.

Another problem is the fact that a lot of the characters die in the same or the next episode in which they are introduced (or get a bit of focus). This does not only mean that it is very predictable to tell who will die in this episode, you also do not care about them all that much because you do not know them. What is even worst, they are generally presented as selfish persons that only want to survive without caring about the other people that die. If this was done right, you could be rooting for one or the other character to survive, but the anime is clearly trying to make you root for the main characters.

I could get over that if you did not know if the main characters are going to make it or not. However, most of the story is told in flashbacks, as the main protagonist explains to his new classmates his previous experience in the game. This means that, from the very first episode, you know that the main character is the only one who makes it alive.

And those are not even the main problems I have with this anime. I honestly like the premise. However, this anime takes all the problems that could come out of this premise and decides that, as far as they do not show them on screen, they do not exist. For example, how is it possible that after half of their classmates have died the police still has not appeared? I could understand it if none of the players wanted to go and tell the police about the game if it was a rule (which it is not) but I would be really surprised if I was in high school, half of my classmates had died and the police still had not come to talk with me.

In fact, the anime does as much as it can to avoid showing other characters than the people playing the game, maybe assuming that we will not realise how stupid it is for the characters to not try and seek for help from other people. The worst case so far is in episode 6, where the main character literally explains (via flashback) to some new classmates how multiple of his old classmates died while sitting next to a taxi driver as he is driving them to the place they want to go. However, the taxi driver does not appear on screen and that is apparently enough for the show to justify why this person does not freak out.

And there are many more problems with this anime, such as characters behaving irrationally or suddenly behaving completely opposite to what they did previously, but if I had to analyze them as much as I have for the previous ones this review would end up being an essay. So this is my conclusion: do not watch this anime.
