Kemono Friends started off poorly for me. The 3D animation is jarring and unnatural looking, distracting from the rest of the show. By the 2nd or 3rd episode though it is no longer really noticeable. The sounds and music are solid, but it has one of my pet peeves where the character "Boss" makes squeaking noises every time he takes a step.
The story is actually quite good and fulfilling, if predictable. There are some deep or tense moments, but nothing to really tear up over. It really is just about building an interesting world full of interesting animal friends. It's also rather educational about how animals behave and where they live.
Pretty solid anime that apparently was paired with a game no one played.
