The original story have a fine and delicate plot that is worth reading in the form of manga.
The movie's plot is reforged in a quite indecisive way, cutting some parts of the main plot to stick in a part of a side plot.
The adaption of novels or manga to film is always a challenge due to time limitation, but the plot of the film can be better if the story line didnt try to include everything. The feeling after the two hours movie is as if one only read the comics every other episode.
The art itself is quite good, but that is not the main focus of Koe no Katachi, as the main focus should be on the human to human relations between the characters.
