I haven't played the game, so I don't have a preconceived notion on the plot or story as a whole. Therefore, my review is based solely on the series. Ragnorak has a bit of what I'd call hoakiness, but then again, that's appealing in its own right. The story is pretty typical of an action/adventure series- group of travelers bound together even though they might not have much in common but one goal- to save the world... I did like the art it was clean but the backgrounds were nondescript. The sounds were off in terms of voice actors. Some were too high pitched or hyper sounding when they should have been more "tough" whereas others sounding so strong were actually weak.. The characters were annoying at times, but were also likable with character development throughout the series. Overall, it was a good watch for a normal length series, fair but nothing spectacular.
