Absolutely amazing series. A continuation of the lives of Mugi, Ritsu, Yui, Azusa, and Mio from the first season, taking the main 4 of the group through their senior year. It introduces Ui, Yui's little sister, and Jun, a friend of Ui and Asuza, as a second group of protagonists to follow. Some episodes give an interesting back-to-back where one follows the older girls through a period of time, then you immediately see next episode the same period from the youngers' point of view.
While just as aesthetically and musically appealing as the previous season, it seems as though having twice as many episodes doe not mean twice as much plot and the show can seem slow moving at times. However, the pace of the show in general remains good and the character development continues through all episodes. K-On!! almost brought tears on a few times, with you really being able to feel and connect with the emotions and situations of the characters involved.
