Anyway, as I've said, I haven't watched many of this genre before, but in this anime I've found for the first time, such a deliciously black humour. It's interwoven through the storytelling, the portrayal of the characters and makes the characters not just slap you in the face with their sudden and clear-cut existence, but gives away their character slowly and only when it's relevant.
The art is fine too, it suits the mood of the series very well and looks sort of like samurai champloo, thinking about it now - or maybe that's just becuase of the way the ending song looks.
Ahaha, sorry for being such a gusher. This doesn't make sense at all. But do watch it! It's very very good :)
