This anime had a great start with me. I laughed and my mood was lightened after just watching the first episode. As time wore on, this anime started to get very repetitive. It still had it's funny momments but many of the puns I didn't understand. Overall this was a good hearted anime and worth the watch - but only once.

Story - The story as you know is about a boy who wants to create a bread for Japan. Since this was my first anime based on cooking it was uniqe. The plot isn't anything to get excited about though, it was basically the protaganist goes through challanges and wins out in the end.

Art - The art, to me, isn't that great. I don't know what year this was made but the art was just average.

Sound - The soundtrack was not bad. The backtracks of this anime creates suspension and adds to the mood quite well.

Character - I'm going to skip this part.

Enjoyment - Yakitate!! Japan was a good anime and made me laugh quite a few times. Sometimes when the scenes were serious I mistook them as comedy. Overall it does get repetitive (like me saying it's repetitive over and over again) but it is a good anime which teaches you to follow your dreams.
