I am not as articulate as some of the other writers, so I will keep this short and simple. I gave this anime a hard 10. Let me start out by saying that this is not the kind of anime I usually watch. I usually prefer light-hearted anime with some comedy, romance, and action. Also, I felt obligated to write a review on this anime, (I've never written a review before) as I felt an 8.51 was a disgrace to the anime.
I have watched excellent anime like Death Note, Attack on Titan, and Hunter x Hunter. I would rate all 3 very highly (Hunter x Hunter being my favorite, for the sole reason it has a good mixture of comedy, drama, and action and is the style I prefer). However, this anime blew my mind.
It is dark, cynical, and keeps you on your toes. Taking into account the story, and the way it was carried out, I would gives this anime an 11/10 if I could. This anime is mostly focused around keeping you in the dark, and every episode keeps you wanting to know more. (I don't say this lightly, as I've seen Death Note and Attack on Titan)
If you have the guts to watch this anime, you will not regret it, I promise.
