Mixed Feelings
Unfortunately, the only interesting thing about this one-shot is it's the first thing Claymore's author has done since that manga ended a few years ago. What we have here is a pretty clichéd sci-fi story about a moon princess and a goofy kid trying to protect her. The kid reminds me of Raki. Nobody likes Raki.

The art is very good, so there's your silver lining. There's a twist at the end that's kind of neat but fairly inconsequential. The characters aren't developed enough for the reader to feel any tension when they're in danger, but I think this was supposed to just be a fun romp instead of a super serious piece of art so that's forgivable.

Let's hope Norihiro Yagi's next project is a lot longer and a lot more interesting than this.
