...here it is (anime is synonymous with manga, ditto for watch and read):
S TIER
10 - As close to perfection as possible in an anime's appropriate genre, and something that holds up after multiple viewings. The pinnacle of the medium, I don't hand these out very often.
A TIER
9 - I'm obsessed! But I recognize there are a few flaws. Also reserved for anime I feel could be a 10, but haven't rewatched yet (there are exceptions to this rule; particularly long works may be given a 10 on the spot).
8 - I really enjoyed this. 8 is great. I will probably rewatch this but it isn't a priority.
B TIER
7 - Ah 7, destined to be my most common rating. I enjoyed this, but I won't be revisiting it in the foreseeable future, if at all.
6 - Decent. I can see why people like this, but it just wasn't my cup of tea.
C TIER
5 - Now we're getting into the mediocre end of the spectrum. A 5 might have a few qualities I like, but overall it is not a particularly enjoyable experience.
4 - Boring and mediocre but inoffensive. I don't hate myself for having finished this, but I recognize my time could have been better spent.
POO TIER
3 - Yuck. Now we're scraping the bottom of the barrel. An anime would really have to bore me for it to deserve a 3. Something I want to drop but am too close to finishing might warrant this score.
2 - I hated this. And I hate myself for having finished it.
1 - This offends me. I don't understand the appeal of an anime I score a 1 and its fans are an utter mystery to me. Unless I'm forced to watch something truly heinous I won't be handing these out often as I don't rate anime I drop.
MYSTERY TIER
- - Unrated. Probably a short (anything that doesn't exceed 20 minutes) or an anime that I dropped. Although I don't feel justified giving a dropped anime a rating, I will include an explanation for why I dropped it in the tags section of my list.

I see! I agree with you! I like Misato too. I watched an episode of Aku no Hana and maaan I was pretty disappointed with the animation. I probably sound annoying but I was pretty left down I was really looking forward to seeing Nakumura animated but ehhhhhh I'm not crazy about it. I think it's a cool and unique style but I'm not really a fan. Why do people hate it? And I'm sorry you couldn't find a decent sub track for the film.
I just took a look at all his works and I haven't read any others, but I recognize a few of them, a friend of mine likes his work. I plan on checking out Okaeri Alice and Chi no Wadachi sometime in the future. When it comes to manga, I get pretty bored quickly, but maaaaaan Aku no Hana hasn't left me feeling bored once. Not even the slightest.
So do you have a favorite Evangelion character? Kaworu is my favorite.
I was looking at the Revolutionary Girl Utena manga just to see how long it is, because I'm thinking about reading it, and I saw your review of it and your pfp caught my eye. I'm glad to see that you like both Nge and Aku no hana. I read Aku no Hana for the first time just a few weeks ago, but I've already read it 5 times. It's definitely the best thing I've ever read.
