Not that oddly I'd say. Shorts were never a big deal among the viewers and critics alike, not only due to their lack of popularity, but also to the fact that there *usually* isn't too much to them that could provide material for further discussions.

As for Lain, it's been my #1 for couple of years now, and I don't think that will be changing any time soon.

Hey, saw your Feeling from Mountain and Water review, so I decided to add you. Quite a nice review, tho I think you could've said at least a little more. But I agree, having such a low score on MAL is no less than an outrage.

xD Didn't know you were savoring it. No need to rush or anything.

Pst...when are you going to finish Utena? You're almost done!
MistyBlue Jul 20, 2017 4:07 PM
Haha I did pretty much that...watched the first season and then the movie. I'll watch the second season...eventually lol.

Lain is definitely in my rewatch list. Confusing as heck but really interesting.

Have you seen the second season of Psycho Pass? Kind of hesitant to watch it due to the viewers saying it was a disappointing sequel. And yea, we need more villains like Makishima.

I see that you're into dark, psychological stuff(?) so I'd recommend Shinsekai Yori, Haibane Reimei, Psycho Pass and Serial Experiments Lain.

And something similar to The Tatami Galaxy would be Uchouten Kazoku. I think they are both done by the same author so you will probably feel some resemblances with the two.

Nah, it's not like some fleshed out review with 5 paragraphs or anything so don't worry about it. xD

By death scene, were you referring to Kamina's death? The anime is kind of a blur for me so I don't remember what happened after he died. Or if anyone else died. I also agree that Nia stuff caught me off guard in a weird way. Bleh I can't remember what exactly happened to her (like she suddenly turned evil or something?) but it just felt like it was forced. A problem that I had with both anime were their countless transformations and plot twists. It makes sense to do it a couple of times but after that it gets pretty old and one starts wondering when the transformations and plot twists end. But yea, both of them are pretty cool.

I'm interested to see how weird it can actually get. xD The third one does give it a lot of room to be a bizarre finale. Well the whole series was weird to begin with anyways.

Btw, so what are your thoughts on Gurren Lagann? I saw that you just finished it.

You're so right

I'm not really fond of tragedy scenes at the beginning of the episode either. The characters' deaths feel underwhelming and part of me becomes detached from the show and its characters that feel pain. But yea, after that SnK isn't so bad besides Eren's constant yelling.

The third movie kind of killed it for me. It felt like I skipped a movie or the movie took place in another dimension. However, I'm am looking forward to seeing how they can make it any worse than the third movie or how they can pull themselves out of the mess that the last one made.

So your friends watch stuff like Naruto, DBZ, and One Piece stuff? Maybe when you watch a bit more anime, you can recommend them some stuff to watch together. There's a lot of good ones out there that I'm sure they'd like (probably might want to look at the top rated/popular anime list) likehunterxhunterjustsaying.

Eva is a pretty good show for 100; definitely a show that needs to be rewatched. So you haven't seen the movies yet? Funny tag btw; very true. xD
Btw, I'm surprised you haven't seen Attack on Titan yet. Not that interesting to you?
