Having JUST finished by review for last season, I'll now gush about how much better this season is.

Story: Again, nothing special beyond a better version of last season. 8/10
CAUSE AND EFFECT BABY, EPISODIC SHOW CAN SUCK IT (blanket statement, I don't hate all episodic shows; there are quite a few I love, like Nichijou). The smallest of details that would maybe be a single joke in a less amazing show spirals into an entire arc. The 10 episodes that this show has fits the pace perfectly and allows the show to end at a satisfying time at a suitable pace for the type of show this is. While the cause-and effect chain in season one was just a nice touch that made it stand out as having a proper flow. Here, though, it gets into logical flow OVERDRIVE. The last season's ending is not only referenced, but becomes an important and logical plot point. The last episode of last season sets up the entire show, and the structure of the story is really interesting when compared to other shows. I can't properly put it into words, which you probably realized when I used the same point twice. ANYWAY-

Art: *JOJO REFERENCE* there are no flaws. It's actually perfect. 10.
The animation is not only hilariously (and purposely) derpy, but absolutely stunning when the animator can justify is. Explosions have gotten better, other, new abilities are just amazing, and the artstyle/backgrounds are still beautiful. Nobody can say that the animation is bad without someone proving it wrong outright. As usual, the effects work is amazing, the explosion casting still being the highlight of that just because of how much better they've gotten. The OP and ED have BOTH gotten better, with the both being some of the best of the season. The ED's purpose is the same; to demonstrate that the town and the characters in it have their own lives, identities, and relationships with each other. It's just as heartwarming as last season's, if not more. The OP now demonstrates the characters and their dynamics more clearly and in a more hilarious fashion, show how every character has their own design and showing the characters that have the screentime to be given a personality, with even more details and subtleties on top of the obvious jokes. The new episode preview screens are also really funny, especially when we get to Yunyun.

Sound: VAs TURNING UP, BAYBEE 9/10

Darkness' VA turns it up this season, probably helped by the fact that she gets more screentime than before. Kazuma's VA also adds some small little lines that really shows how much the VAs were having fun with their roles. Megumin and Aqua don't do more than before, mostly due to the fact that they were giving it their all from the beginning. Yunyun and Wiz are also great, along with the other named characters. The OP song isn't as bad as before, and is something that I might end up downloading, and the ED is as great as before, with Darkness' VA having a beautiful voice, showing up the other two who I also love. But the thing that's keeping the sound score down is the lack of memorable bgm. Again, The only song I can remember is the explosion theme. Even so, the music is not bad, and helps out the show a lot, along with the sound effects.

Darkness gets much better in this season. She gets much more of the focus and has way more opportunities to be hilarious than before, while still not taking over too much time. The reoccurring side characters get more personality and times to shine with the new additions being fantastic as well. I con't really elaborate without stealing the surprise factor.

Enjoyment: is this even a question?

Overall: If you liked last season, you'll like this one more. If you didn't like last season, I think it's worth trying this one. 10/10

So, if you liked this review, check out my others. If you have any advice regarding how I can improve my reviews, or just want to talk anime or something, contact me, assuming that's a feature MAL has. Hopefully, you watch and love this series (including season one, as implied by the word 'series') as much as I did. Have a nice day.
