A SHORT SYNOPSIS
"A young girl named kobato makes a deal in order to get her wish granted (nothing is specified about this wish) its just to be taken somewhere she wants to go. In order to have her wish granted she has one year on earth in which she must fill a small bottle with candy obtained by healing peoples hearts"
THE REVIEW
I don't really have very many bad things to say about this anime theres nothing strikingly bad about it. Only after watching lots and lots of different shows one tends to tire of seeing the stereotypical moe-dunce falling for the strong silent insensitive idiot over and over again. Along with all of this you have a textbook smart-ass sidekick (in the form of a stuffed animal).
I remember really liking the first few episodes, especially those centred around yomogi nursery, though the concept of collecting "candy" in a bottle in order to do something is really just another way of saying "bwahaha I've thought of a brilliant plot device to make this show episodic". One soon gets sick of watching kobato collect candy by healing peoples hearts. Luckily though (and in my opinion this shows saving grace) the second half of the show isn't quite so episodic, the story is built upon and moves forward nicely infact if i was reviewing only the second half i would have given the show a solid 8 - 8.5. A word of warning don't expect to be told what kobatos wish is any time soon since thats kept from the viewers till the very end. Afte reading the synopsis if the idea appeals to you go ahead and watch this show. Another attraction has definitely got to be the numerous appearances of other CLAMP characters in the shows second half. A few weeks back I remember getting to see Watanuki again not to mention mokuna XD. That about wraps it up, chop chop.
