I am the polar opposite of the community on this one. Ranpo Kitan, in my own opinion, deserves a praise for the work and beauty placed inside of the show. Every episode had so much symbolism, each case showcases the disgusting crimes that we human beings commit on occasion. Ranpo Kitan doesn't make sense because of the simple minded approach that the majority came at it with. The show reflects and mirrors our own, asking our protagonist and antagonist, what is really right? Should we live our lives relying on justice systems incapable of justice, or bring it about through a sense of absolute anarchy? Ranpo Kitan challenges the viewers' attitudes, values, and beliefs with reality and that is why I consider it a masterpiece.
