This is going to be a short review that highlights the best parts about this anime and the series as a whole. From a short time Jojo fan who got into the series in the summer of 2015.

Jojo is an entertaining series thats genuinely fun to follow and discuss. It has a lot of style and unique and interesting concepts and its wonderful seeing a lot of homoerotic subtext within the series that doesn’t paint itself as overly stereotypical and offensive (compare any Battle Tendency character to Puri Puri Prisoner from OPM, for example). While it does do a lot of things wrong within it’s story, it’s genuinely a fun watch in the sense that it capitalizes on the concept that a journey is more substantial than the destination - which is why there’s “adventure” in the name of the series.

The first 9 episodes might be slow for a lot of people (I personally enjoyed them a lot), but keep in mind that the latter part of the anime is much better and this is a series that keeps getting better and better with each ongoing part (also debatable among the fandom). Keep in mind that while you might not be invested at first because of the jarring lack of characterization and overabundant dialogue that this is a VERY FAITHFUL (for better or for worse) adaptation of the original manga that came out in the 1980s - so it's a product of it's time.

Also, do not get disheartened by the obnoxious fans (I know for a lot of you this might be a stupid thing to say but believe it or not there's a lot of people who stay away from things just because of the fanbase), this series is much much more than memes and jokes.

Overall it's a 8.8/10 from me and give it a go if you like anime that tends to stray away from the norm of Harem Ecchi Shounen Fanservice crap that's out there nowadays!
