It started off being pretty boring and slightly infuriating. Itou Makoto was tolerable for the first three episodes, then he became the biggest sleazebag I've ever seen in anime. I became livid by the later half of the series. I don't want to spoil the ending, but I will say that Makoto does get what he deserves, and it was very satisfying. Kotonoha Katsura was the only character I actually had pity for.
The art and animation is sub par to average at best. The character designs are too similar to each other. Before I watched the show, I almost couldn’t tell any of the girls apart!
The music and sound is one of the high points of the series. I especially like "Kanashimi no mukou e", the song that plays during my favourite scene. It’s actually a pretty decent song.
Overall, I give this show a 4/10. The ending alone ups the rating substantially. For a better recommendation, I suggest Mirai Nikki. You will only want to punch the protagonist, not stab him a bunch of times in the chest.
