This is a over done genre but No Game NO Life manges to take a spin on it that makes it really interesting.
We follow our main 2 leads Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister duo that play video games and never lose and go by the name blank as they always have a blank IGN. This duo is known for never losing a single game. One day they are challenged to a game of chess and win as they always do then they were sucked into the new world by Tet. And thats where the story of No Game No Life begins.
In the new world they are sucked into it is explained that the only way to make choices is by playing a games. As such we follow Sora and Shiro as they try to help imanity gain power. Since Sora and Shiro never lose a game you won't focus on who will win but rather how will they win. You don't know how they will win but yo know they will and seeing the way they think and end up winning is always so enjoyable to watch.
CHARACTERS - Apart from our main 2 Sora and Shiro the secondaries include Stephanie and Jibril.
There isn't anything to stand out abotu Jibril and Stephanie is put into the spot of a joke character as Sora and Shiro always messing with her.
However our leads are very interesting there diinamic is very fun. Seeing them winning each game.
SOUND - So the OST is pretty nice there aren't really any soundtracks that I can say stand out but it fits what the show is going for.
ART / ANIMATION - No Game No Life has one of the most stand out art styles I have seen in a long time. Its bright colors and the use of red outlines reallly pops out at you and shows how this new world they are in is supposed to be fun with only playing games.
OVERALL - So the main issue here despite all the positives is the fact that it is only 12 episodes. It would have been nice to have a 24 episode season so we could get more progress in the story. With a series like this we don't know if / when a season 2 will come. It has been announced that a Movie will be coming sometime soon and this may lead to a bigger budget so they can do a season 2.
Overall No Game No Life is a reallly fun series to watch . It is worth binge watching for sure.. Since it is so short you can do this and I Highly suggest you do so.
