Mixed Feelings
It's a good brainless comedy, but a few lazy decisions and a dozen tropes bring the series down.

I'll start with my [major] complaints:

Typical (i.e. nonexistent) harem character development, where MC goes from bewildered and lost to simply embarrassed, and your bog standard tsun tsun in to "secretly I'm not a bad person but I will still tease you in private and treat you like trash in public" harem member. Other character don't even have that.

Out of place fanservice, mainly by the means of awkward camera angles and out of place zooms, in otherwise more or less civil situations.

Lack of real story and romantic line. They are there, but end up in more or less the same state as they started.

MMO theme seems like a cop out or an afterthought. Once again you get the feeling that writers heard about MMOs, but not sure what they are. Most of the gameplay consist of abstract XP grinding and sitting around in a tavern, chatting.
Also, with all the jokes about powerful PCs, some modern hardware product placements and despite that everyone seems to run win10, the game they play is about as old as Ragnarok Online.

Series also suffer from the good old "oh shit, we need something interesting to happen in the last 3 episodes" syndrome. So everyone suddenly becomes interested in PvP, convenient rivals are added and a forced conflict is ready!

Also, as a separate point from character development, I wanted to mention how little sense some (most) of them make. There is a very clear line between having strong convictions and just being badly written. We never really get a clear answer for most of character motivations, that is, until you realize that they are just filling in your standard trope roles.

Now, with all that said, why did I enjoy it, rating it above average? Mainly because it has an interesting start and a decent main part. Because I actually finished it, without loosing interest of forgetting about it for a year or five. But most of all, because it made me laugh, despite (or maybe because of) it's flaws.

Harem was not intrusive or detrimental, like it is most of the time, and series had good jokes, and not just typical moe crap. Female lead is actually interesting, when she's not busy being batshit crazy.

Would I recommend it? Probably not. There are better series for any sub-genre this one has. But if you're bored, and you absolutely need something about video games, you can do much wore than this.
