If you're looking for a rich story line, dark themes, and comedy in between, then Kuroshitsuji is the anime for you! The anime follows young Ciel Phantomhive and his demon butler as he searches for the ones who killed his parents and defiled him.

Story - 10/10

Kuroshitsuji's story drags you in the moment you start watching. The plot is suspenseful, with plenty of action to go around. It's a fine mix of supernatural mystery that keeps the watcher interested. The series had a lot of great plot twists in it, and I think the story unfolded very smoothly. The way it is presented gives the watcher a lot to look forward to, whether you're into the snippets of comedy or the enthralling question as to what's going to happen next.

Art - 10/10

The art style doesn't stand out to me as unique, but what it lacks in uniqueness it makes up for with beautiful characters designs, smooth animation, and amazing quality. The details are great, everything from clothing to buildings to the silverware and beyond. It's gives an accurate depiction of the time period as well.

Sound - 10/10

Both the Japanese and English voice actors for Kuroshitsuji did a great job matching the characters and their personalities. In fact, most characters in the dub had very similar voices to those of the sub. Another thing I really liked about the sound quality is the OST's. The background music fit very well with the scenes and really pull you in. The opening and end credit songs were also quite fitting. I personally don't mind listening to them by themselves when I'm in the mood for a good instrumental or two.

Character - 10/10

You can really fall in love with the characters here; their personalities are enjoyable and the stories they have to tell are emotional. Character development was great as well. I think they did a wonderful job portraying the characters and revealing their stories to the watcher. Character design was also another thing that makes Kuroshitsuji a great anime; the clothing choices are well detailed, accurate, and fit the characters well. I personally enjoyed the designs that were used.

Enjoyment - 10/10

Kuroshitsuji is definitely one of my go-to animes when I'm in the mood for something dark. I had a great experience watching the series, and have rewatched it twice before. Through the rich emotions and suspenseful plot, I really became connected to the characters. This anime is no doubt a masterpiece all on its own.

Overall - 10/10

The anime was seriously amazing. From the enthralling story line to the well-rounded characters, there's so much to enjoy about this anime series! It earns a 10 out of 10 from me!
