The story would have been better as a movie instead of a series. There were many fillers to make it to 12 episodes. Though the fillers were throughout the series, mixed in with the plot episodes. Filler episodes is one reason why long Anime are never interesting.
The part I find fascinating is how they turned it into a musical sort of thing. It was partly enjoyable watching an Anime Musical. Something that is cliché in this genre, is that one of them refuses to admit he likes the main character, Ritsuka Tachibana, throughout the whole series until the end. The ending was what gave it an overall 7. Very interested in watching more after watching that though have it be a movie than a series.
